Call For Papers

INC Book 2011: Playing with emotions
After last year enriching experience, we want to leave some tangible sign of players ponderings.
In accordance with this year "dionysiac" convention theme, we'd like to give life to a volume collecting articles about emotions in games.

Give us your thoughts: if you think emotions in games are something advisable or to avoid, how to achieve it, what elements help or hinder it and, generally speaking, any consideration or experience about this matter. If you already wrote articles, post of forums or blogs which, a bit touched up, could be suitable for this year volume, they are welcome.

The one criteria to keep in mind presenting your articles is that, as usual, the INC Book is meant to promote the diffusion of games.

How the INC Book is born
InterNosCon 2011 organization will gatbher the most interesting articles for the book that will be:

  • freely available on line through a pdf downloadable directly from the InterNosCon website;
  • a part of INC attendants welcome kit in printed version;
  • on sale at a symbolic price in printed version for everybody else.

Please note: INCbook is meant to promote a wider knowledge of games and not for profit; in the unlikely event that the income from sold copies exceeds printing costs, the outstanding will be gifted to Doctors Without Borders.

How to Contribute
Here's how to proceed if you wish to take part in this project:

  • Abstract: Before the finished article, we would like to receive a short abstract, a brief summary of the arguments you'd like to discuss in your article. You can send abstracts in ".rtf" format to the address Once you receive confirmation for your abstract you can start to work on the finished version of your article.
  • Deadlines: Abstract within January 31st, finished articles within February 28th.

We are aware the deadlines we propose are quite close. Anyway we hope that this initiative will find ample support among players. We trust in your desire to spread the knowledge of the hobby we love.
